SOY CUBANA

“...a celebratory story about kinship and connection that transcends borders...”
-Austin Chronicle

Winner of the Audience Award in its category at SXSW 2021, Soy Cubana tells the humanity-affirming story of the Vocal Vidas, an all-female Cuban a capella quartet from Santiago de Cuba. When the Vidas are invited to perform their first show in America, US-Cuba relations were brought to an abrupt end. What began as a concert became a journey across physical and ideological borders, affirming of the connective power of music, even in the most uncertain times.
